The Home of the Truffula Trees

My entire life, I was under the impression that the Renaissance Greats painted in a garden where the trees where trimmed into neat little puffs
Like Disney....
It turns out they grow that way naturally

Montecastello

In the summer of 2013, I went to Italy with Jaime Howard's plein air workshop in Montecastello.
I've never been surrounded by more beauty.

I painted some lovely little watercolors in the park

A Brief Summery of Events Since 2010

After four short years, I'm returning to this blog.

Many things have happened:

Most importantly,

I graduated!

I participated in an AMAZING internship with Don Martin and the ladies of Escuela Superior de Arte del Principado de Asturias. We restored the ceiling of Ponce De Leon Dinning Hall.

 My work: During and After

Then

I

Got a Job!

Worked.

When back to school.

Taught some more.

And concluded that the above is a sacred recipe.

I was accepted into a show in New York! Completely and totally thrilled, excited, and then.... quite nervous.
The show was at the Cealum Gallery in Chelsea. It's a gallery that focuses on up and coming artists. I found out about the show through my professor Sara Pedigo (sarapedigo.com) "Spring Break" was a joint show between several school including Flagler College, University of Mass, and a couple of Japanese universities.

Cealum Gallery asked me to create more work for the exhibition.  I focused on individual lamps that were smaller in scale.

How it was displayed on opening night:

Disappointment.
